  1. I was there six months ago.  The food is very good, but not great.  The 'throwed rolls' are not caught by the waiters, but by the customers.  If you miss they simply toss you another one.  Waiters circulate with 'all the fixins' and supplies are generous and limitless.  One carrie the rolls, so unless you want your hand hit by a flying roll, stretch out, not up!  Enjoy your visit, but watch out for tour buses.  The wait is worth it, though!

  2. I live in Carbondale, and I have been thinking of going there for years, it is after all the home of the "thowed rolls".  I don't know if they still do that. The story is that the waiters would come to your table and if you wanted more rolls, they'd yell it out to the kitchen and someone would throw it across the restaurant, the waiter catching it in a towel.   My old supervisor would take our international students there for lunch sometimes.

  3. yes all of the restaurants are usually cash only..... and i love that place, absolutely delicious!!

  4. GOOD FOOD------DODGE THE ROLLS!!!!!!

    HAHAHA

  5. I've eaten at the one in Ozark, MO, but not the Sikeston location.  Very good homestyle food......I enjoyed it.  Strangely, though, the one in Ozark accepted checks but not credit/debit cards.  I'm not sure if all locations are like that or not.

  6. It's delicious.

    I loved it.

  7. I ate at the one in Foley, Alabama.

    I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The throwed rolls are awesome!  I always have to buy extra rolls to take home for my kids to eat again later!

And I love the "extra" sides that they give you!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Just totally yummy stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
