Has anyone eaten at Rick Steins' Restaurant at Padstow?

Seems rip-off prices to me but is it worth it ??

the prices are high but you get what you pay for, but there are other nice seafood restaurants in padstow were the food is excellent and does not cost half as much.

most of the sea foods great in Padstow, I think you can get a really nice meal for a fraction of the cost.

Padstein as known by the locals - has numerous outlets of his  - he really is taking over the village. We had a few friends who stayed at his hotel in Dec and were awoken by the sound of breaking glass - each window in the conservatory was smashed - he is not liked by the locals

Like many others, I go to other, cheaper Padstow restaurants. Rick Stein's name isn't really worth the extra money.

Yes I've been there three times and on each occassion the food was excellent. There are cheaper ways to enjoy the food at better prices. You could book for lunch at the Seafood Restaurant or he has two other restaurants in Padstow including the Bistro at which you will also get good food.

We had a great meal at The Old Custom House round the corner and I told Rick Stein how good it was. It turned out to be one of his best chefs who went there - but he wished him well all the same.

Yeh, it's not cheap but for a special treat it's worth it and it's buzzing at night.
