  3. more or less eaten everything thats walked or crawled,snails are chewy but nice in garlic. you can get rid of the pests in your garden this way,but you have to put them in clean water for a couple of days to flush the c**p out of them. also recomend frogs legs...taste a bit like chicken, crocodile steaks are nice,as is ostrich.

  4. yes and really good! they are garlicy and delicious! The garlic butter sauce they are cooked in tastes so good when you dip bread in it!! you should try it!

  5. I had them when I was younger,I can't say they tasted of much-the taste of garlic butter that had been crammed in the shell had tainted them.

  7. They're surprisingly appetizing.  With garlic and salt mmmmmm.  I encourage you tu try them.

  8. Perfectly pleasant. They are usually drenched in garlic butter and served with crusty bread. Try them.

  9. I've tried them and didn't like them.  They're very garlicky which is fine but I didn't like the texture, they're very chewy which turned me right off of them!

    And you simply must go shopping in the Galeries lafayette!! Its the harrods of Paris - so much prettier and more haute couture!!!

  15. i've had them once...very good...hard to describe the flavor,though. The garlic butter/sauce served with them probably masks any yucky taste, I bet!

  21. No dont like snails, but I do love a big Frue De Mer with lots of Lobster and tiger prawns. My favourite restaurant is in St.malo on the sea road going towards new town. The vegatables are exquisite and the Desert is more like a work of art to beutiful to eat, but I always manage it, wasked down with a really good 1984 Chardonnay.

  22. Love snails in a spicy red sauce...It takes forever to eat them but worth every bit!!!!!  

    These are the small black shell snails...they really have no flavor..but they do have a fishy smell..

    Not necessarily unpleasant (thank you garlic)

    I won't go out of my way to eath them again, but if I went to a friends house and they were serving snails, I wouldn't be averse to eating them again.

  27. Yes, with garlic in a French restaurant in London. They were nice. A bit like mussels in texture but less fishy. They were hot though and I burnt my tongue a bit.
