They got me good....sent me an email stating their policy for printing out your boarding pass.....the email says 30 minutes prior to flight departure is the cut-off time....I was trying to print mine out at the airport 45 minutes prior. I was told that I had already missed my flight...but the flight wasnt to depart until 1pm...it was 12:15pm....WTF...

  1. Spirit's cutoff actually varies depending on your destination and the airport you're checking in at.  If you were in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, or Las Vegas, they actually have a 45 minute cutoff, and for international destinations, the cutoff is 60 minutes.  If you were in one of these airports (or were flying internationally), you did indeed miss the cutoff at 45 minutes, according to their contract of carriage.

If none of those apply, and the cutoff of 30 minutes was indeed applicable to you, then you might wish to file a complaint with the FAA, as that might be considered involuntary denied boarding, to which you would be eligible for compensation.
