Has anyone else been caught by 3 mobile broadbands pricing plan in Australia?

I got the 3GB for $35/month deal, and didn't realise I'd left Utorrent running, and went over my limit by 9GB!! They are trying to charge me $1000 for 9GB!! I did ask in the shop what would happen if I went over my limit and he didn't warn me that they SHAFT you! Is there anything I can do?

Isn't the problem that you left Utorrent running, rather than the pricing plan?  Sometimes it IS your fault.

That's way too much. You should clarify with them.

Try speaking to the telecommunications ombudsman and see if they can mediate between yourself and your mobile phone company.

That's ridiculous. $1000 for 9GB! Are you sure it isn't an error made on the bill?

If you feel this has bill has errors, you should contact the appropriate department to explain why.
