Has anyone else been watching the tennis today?

If you have been watching can you please tell me what was the deal with Djokovic today? 6-2 first set, down a break in the 2nd after that. His very first game was 24 points long. He finally managed to win but gave me a scare. Hope all's well with the guy.

I used to work at Queens during the Stella tournament and got to watch all center court matches.

Was so much fun, and lots of free Stella!  Although watching Hewitt win everytime I was there wasn't so much fun.

I'm answering this a day after you asked it. There was a lot of good tennis on yesterday. Usually I'm not a fan of Queens or Halle but there is so much expectation this year about how the favourites are going to measure up at  Wimbledon (is federer all right;will Rafa finally prove that he'sa grass court WINNER;is Djokovic the guy to watch out for etc etc etc that everybody is watching like a hawk and what used to be considered routine warm up tournaments for Wimbledon have become main attractions.

So,yes,I was watching yesterday and that's why i wasn't on here. I was rewarded with some surprisingly god matches,chiefly Nadal vs Nikishori,Nabaldian vs Mahut; and a few more.

At Halle(Germany),Federer won in two sets against Vacek but never looked as if he were really all there. I think he won on automatic pilot (which does not mean to say that he played well - just adequate enough to win. )

I don't really like grass either and don't usually get excited at Wimby till 1/4 finals but things are different this year.

EDIT to tennis is best: your boy Djokovic did all right. all the big RG semifinalists had a rough time yesterday. The surface was slippier than usual. remember these guys just came back from concentrating on clay and it's going to take a while to fine tune their game to grass. Nobody showed overwhelming superiority yesterday. Don't worry-your player is fine.

I don't find lawn tennis as entertaining as tennis played on other surfaces for some reason.  Maybe it has something to do with the snobbish nature of lawn tennis enthusists.  Maybe it has something to do with the way the game is played on the lawn.  Maybe it has something to do with the rainy climate (and frequent delays) of lawn court tennis.
