There are no demons, but there are some spirits who are in painful situations.  

The best thing you can do is a ritual to cleanse your house and focus on keeping your thoughts and personal energy positive.

Nothing can overtake you unless you let it.

Well, sort of. My initiation into the spirit world was a demon I had in my house. He used to stand in the closet that's off our bathroom and watch me shower. I'll just they know your fears and use them against you. I got lucky, my spirit guides protected me heavily, which I didn't know at the time, so the only thing he was able to do was scare the life out of me. Used to send me grotesgue images you'd see in horror film, used to touch me in private areas. Lucky for me my faith is strong, so he couldn't actually touch me, but he was trying to wear me down. When I hired a medium to get rid of him, I nearly passed out when he finally detached from me. I remember feeling attacked and sucked dry. I'm told by a clarvoyant friend that I should be glad I could never see, apparently he was pretty ugly. lol
