  1. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis and a prolapsed disc. I took up Aqua Jogging, which was interesting. I can swim, but could not grasp the concept of the floatation belt, until I arrived at the Class, conducted by a PT! So don the belt, get in the water and we are all lined up. Some have just had hip replacements. The PT tells us to start jogging and off they go. I am giving it my best but going nowhere fast? The PT says 'Jog, you need to jog?' I reply 'I am'. Seems when you jog you lean forward, not stand upright! Once I leaned forward off I went. The session was 45 minutes and I really enjoyed it. However, I got to the ladder to get out, got as far as getting the upper body, waist and belt up the steps and bang! Reckon I suddenly weighed about three ton, it was staggering. Three sessions later, I was able to get out without the weight hitting me. Nine sessions later the PT was chasing me around the swimming pool trying to get me out! I can do so much more in the water than on land, if only I could stay! After the lesson we all head for the Sauna or Steam room, just to chat and relax. I have found it 100% beneficial and for the summer the lessons stop, but I will be going again come October. Many of the people who form the class have Arthritis, or are in form hip, knee replacemnts, loosing weight and we even had a female about 8 months pregnant, kinda worrying. Everyone returns becuse all they gain is benefit. The fact that you are weighless, almost like being on the Space Station, can really move all the joints in the full range, while in the water, excellent. Best of Luck

  2. Yes! Low impact water exercise is very good for arthritis and can help you feel better all over. I have tried a lot of exercise programs and light swimming and exercise is Fantastic. Most important is to stick with it over a period of time.

  3. I tried hydrotherapy for my arthritis. It didn't work.
