I am a 37 year old female, smoke, dont drink, dont do drugs. About six weeks ago I got up one morning and my hands were very stiff & sore. Over the past few weeks some of my fingers have swollen so much they look like sausages. One of my fingers is permanently bent,I cant straighten, another one I cant bend it at all. My knees and ankles are also very swollen, sore and bruised. Some days I can hardly bear any weight on them, the pain has reduced me to tears on several occassions. Pain & stiffness in right shoulder, arm, hips, across top of my back & up right side of neck. Some days I cant turn my head. Blood visible in urine. Had several blood & urine test's, CRP high in urine, antibodies fine. Xrays taken of fingers only, no visible damage. Dr thinks possible septic infection but cant pinpoint where or how. Latest additional symptoms, running loo every 15 minutes, lower back pain, brown circular mark on sole of foot, then turned green/yellow, thought it was verruca or similar so treated with gel, it pulled the whole thing out about 10mm deep, now i have a sore on my foot and another 5 brown marks have appeared on same foot. Waiting for appointment for liver ultrasound, have appointment next week to see rheumatologist. Has anyone else experienced this. My Dr told me she is unsure of what is causing it. Am currently taking dihydrocodeine for pain, not much use.Celebrex for swelling, again not doing much. Just finished course of antibiotics for any infections. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thankyou.
