Has anyone else experienced virgin atlantic as a c**p airline?

Yes alas I have also had a number of bad experiences on Virgin Atlantic.  I used to use them all the time to fly to the US but (and I hate to say it) I have gone back to using BA as Virgin has really gone down hill.  With an ageing fleet in need of modernisation and refurbishment, seat back TV's rarely working and really bad customer service they are not living up to the reputation they used to have a number of years ago.  Having worked in the industry I can see why Virgin have never achieved 5 star airline status.  For those of you who seem to have been fooled by the Virgin marketing campaign I suggest you experience Etihad, Emirates, Qatar, Singapore Airlines, Malasina or Kingfisher or even (dare  say it again) BA before raving about a very average airline with less than average service.

I can see why people from the US would like Virgin as their own airlines are truly awful, speaking from experience.  Virgin is not far behind!  Sorry Virgin.

Hi,
Yes I have experinced them at their worst.
My first trip to america was 6 hours late, and the staff were quite rude.
The Virgin staff at orlando are terrible, and are not willing to handle any question without being sarcastic or rude (or both).
I understand that the customer care during the iceland ash cloud left a lot to be desired, and they failed to keep customers informed if any seats came available
