Has anyone else had a dream about someone you don't know?

I've been having these dreams about someone named... Jim. I don't know anyone by that name. Why would I be dreaming about someone I don't know who is?

I just woke up like an hour ago. And i had this PERFECT dream about some guy i didnt know.. i really have no idea who he was. His name was Steven, or Stephen.. really weird. That's the first time that happened to me..

The name and that someone or image may not be important, but the importance is what you dream of.  Very often, the image we projected in our dream comes from our waking life.  However, they lurk into our subconscious mind and translate into symbol.

It may be symbol of close relationship or symbol of long lasting friendship. It all depends on the dream.

yes I have, Its amazing how complex the brain works to the point your dreams included people you just dont know for no apparent reason.

They could be past life memories or you could be tapping into other peoples dreams or you could be having a dream about a soul mate you haven't met yet in physical form, or you could be jumping the barrier between diminsions while you sleep. Also, he could be your spirit guide.

I have dreams all night every night about people I don't know so don't feel alone. I've researched it through many sources and these are the answers I got.

I like to think that , this person will come into your life and it can be as simple as you could be at a checkout and after you paid  and go to push the trolley away, you realise where you think you have seen that guy before.

I have had that happen to me (not exactly as above) from time to time , and now i don't feel suprised anymore.

The only thing that bothers me is when in some dreams the person is trying to tell me something and their presence is so strong i wake up swearing the person is right there waiting to continue as in the dream.

Yes that is happening to me too! I'm serious by the way! I've been having a dream about this guy name Jonathan and it's starting to creep me out as well! You and I and anyone else might be having this dream because we have something maybe on our mind. Or maybe for some reason the name Jim is coming up! Unfortunately, I'm not a doctor or a miracle worker, but that's why I think we might be having these strange dreams!

i had a dream about a guy once i cant remeber his name but he tuk me out and dateed in my dream but i have a bf so i cud be giving me a sign to move on or  that some thing might be comeing it might just be a sign for the future

I had a dream about someone I knew but was not at all close to. She worked at my husband's job and had a heart attack on Mother's Day. She passed away 1 week later.......the strange thing is that we shared the exact same name. Hers was her married name and mine was my maiden name.....not just the first name.......the first, middle and last name.  I also found out that her birthday was 6/18 and mine was 5/18. After her funeral......I dreamed that she left in a hot air balloon.  I thought it was a bit strange since I didn't know her. We only spoke a  few times and she did come to my baby shower but other than that had no contact.  Maybe there is someone named Jim that will come into your life somehow......you just never know.

Maybe he's an amalgam of several people you know, like a combination of several features in one which represents how you see all of a group behaving? etc. (Maybe, just a guess!)
