I went back to waterworld after my last visit as a child 20 years ago with my little ones expecting the same great experience I had. Over 1500 dollars in cash and valuables stolen from a Windows systems pincode locker, and the company told me all they could do was refund the price of admission. I had to insist upon calling the police and the company did not even offer to file a claim. With 8 years of experience in insurance underwriting I ensured that they would take responsibility. Security teld me I was the 5th person that had had items stolen in July alone, and I'm assume that the other victims were lead to believe there was nothing that could be done. The complete lack of security cameras or personnel in their locker areas and the the rest of the park shows their effort try to except the least amount of responsibility for crime that occurs on the premises of the park. In hindsight, leaving my items at home would have been wise. I was sold a flase sense of security for 12 dollars.

  1. That sucks really bad.  I hate getting things stolen.  As they say if you want something done right do it yourself and I guess that goes for looking after your own things.  There is a lot of crime in that part of California so it does not surprise me that thefts have found out that it is easy to steal from people while they are having fun.
