Has anyone else had this problem with a Nissan Frontier Pickup?

On Friday August 29th I was driving my 2001 Nissan Frontier Pickup when I had a bearing fail in my rear axle. The vehicle began to shake violently and the axle and tire seperated from the truck. Severing the brake lines in the process. The car stopped by dragging on what was left of the axle.

Luckily I was only going about 25 miles an hour and did not lose control nor did the tire hit another moving vehicle. But has anyone else had a similar problem with their Nissan Frontier?

  2. i don't have one, but that's not the first time i've heard that problem from a Nissan p/u.  it's similar to a problem they have had with the Titan which keeps it mired next to the dodge ram in reliability.
