Question:

Has anyone else heard that Obama may not have been born in Hawaii.?

From what I understand, Obama is unable to present a valid birth certificate and Hawaii has no record of his having been born there. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on American soil, by virtue of having been born in a military hospital. Hawaii was not a state when I was born, but it was considered a territory. I'm not altogether sure what that means, but it would seem to me that if Obama were born in Hawaii, he would be a citizen and that they would have a record of his birth. My understanding today is that he was born in a whole other country and not able to become a President in this country.

  1. "Hawaii was not a state when I was born, but it was considered a territory. I'm not altogether sure what that means ..."

So, you don't even know your own citizenship status or how you legally became a citizen, but you're complaining about Obama's status as a citizen? *rolls eyes*

  2. kenya

    hugs!

  3. Well there appears to be a lot of urban legands about the guy, but I think he could be a fine president; I am sure he is a citizen!

  4. McCain wasn't born in the U.S.

  5. yeah just another reason to not vote for him

  6. Nope. obama was born in hawaii and is a US citizen. How could anyone be foolish enough to fall for such an insane conspiracy theory?

  7. He is a US citizen. There are rumors going around about him not being one for several different reasons, all of which are not true. Check out snopes.com for verification that all the different rumors are incorrect.

  8. Who cares!!!!!  You know the Secret Service has already checked  his background.  They know all about this man.  His background was thoroughly checked prior to him coming on board as a candidate.     Whether he was born in or out of this country, so what.  He has accepted with great character, leadership and diligence the candidacy of President.   WAY TO GO "OBAMA"!!!

  9. Obama has produced a valid Hawaii birth certificate, which can be seen on his website.

  10. yes it is true he was born in Kenya, His mother tried to fly back to the states when she was pregnant but they would not allow her to board because she was about to pop, then his mother divorced the African guy and married a Indonesian man and he adopted Barack and Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship so he had relinquished is USA citizenship claims, because the only way he could be adopted was to be a Indonesian

  11. Oh yep.. im sure he could have had control over where he was born!!

People will just not cut the man any slack at all...

  12. I wasn't BORN yesterday...

    try again republican...

  13. This ridiculous assertion has been hashed...rehashed...dumped...and, now, in an apprent attempt to distract for the poor judgment McCain used in choosing his VP, being given another go 'round.  McCain was born in Panama...tell me another one since you Republicans have been making me laugh all day trying to cover McCain's poor decision making skills!

He was born in Hawaii in 1961...Hawaii became a state in 1959...so, there is no issue here and your attempts to create one simply shows your continued ignorant insistance that if you say it enough times, it'll magically come true!

  14. this is coming from the right wing nuts..... more lies........

Obama could have been born in any country in the world and he would still be a U.S. citizen.  His mother is a U.S. citizen, that makes him one.  john mccain was not born in the u.s. and he is still a citizen.

  15. Attack, attack, attack.  Sorry, we won't fall for this c**p anymore.  Obama '08!
