use to be? (I,m talking about fuels pumped last year not the leaded variety of days gone by) I think in the 80's- 90's their were some poeple pushing for the use of Bio fuels. But our Goverment/Big Buisness didn,t want that..But talked a big speal about emmissions/smog..Do you think they now Are feeding us gas w/ additives or not & we are forced to pump at $4.00 or more per gal? The way it looks people are going to have to start gardening for food to help cut the cost of living!Wish I could plant a Fuel Plant I,d Share with Everyone!

Lately I,m playing the role of Johnny Apple Seed Planting Vegtable seeds Soon people will be seeing Squash,Pumpkins,Okra,Potatoe Plants Along the Highways/near creeks & lakes.Wether People find and Harvest or if they go to seed&birds/animals Replant Elsewhere I feel good about it. If I could I,d plant enough corn/soy for fuel. Why can,t we make our own Fuels to produce for our own usage? To do so would be a crime it seems! Why?

  1. The normal color of gasoline is clear.  When it is another color that is because dyes have been added to distinguish different grades.

The gas I have pumped lately has been clear, and I use regular unleaded.  The different colors you cite have probably been put in to distinguish between refining differences used in different metro areas.  This varies from one area in the US to another and you may also notice small differences in octane.

  2. Well, technically gas does not have a color; it is a colorless liquid. It only appers colored because retailers and producers make it easier to see. Some gas is colored red, some is colored yellow. It all depends on the producer.

  3. it is the additive they are now putting in. they did not change the color but the new additive that is like 10%   changed the color

it would be water burning you can get one for $1200 and it more than doubles your mileage. it was on the news here from Detroit. they tested an SUV that got 9 mpg and when they tested it after installing the container( they say is simple) it was getting something like 27 mpg.

WAY CHEAPER and no fumes and no recharging Just distilled water and you can google that and find out how to distill your own :)

  4. Congratulations on growing your own veggies. Shipping food thousands of miles is one aspect of fuel being too cheap. Looks like sanity is creeping in with the  higher fuel prices.

  5. Yes that is more what natural gasoline looks like. The Gov. has allowed the Left to control important things like more of our oil. They have blocked new refinery's. They blocked the atomic power plants.New exploration. They are trying to kill the US>>>

  6. The gas in our area is blue.  What does that mean?

  7. Its Iraqi gas. It will clog up your environment. It is called PAYBACK.

  8. gasoline does not naturally have any color, it is a clear liquid.  Dyes are added in different colors by the different oil companies.
