We have been drinking it for several years now & have never had a problem, all of a sudden some of the bottles have a musty taste or like mildew, has anyone else noticed this. I wrote the company but haven't heard back from them yet.

  1. The number inside the recycle symbol does not indicate "how many chemicals" were used to make the plastic (whatever that might mean). The numbers are simply a code for different types of plastic.

The idea that the higher the number, the greater the number of chemicals which might leach from the plastic into the container's contents sounds to me like yet another urban myth.

See below for meanings of code numbers.

  2. All bottled water tastes odd to me.

  3. if it was just one time....then there's probably something wrong with the bottle.....

if it has been almost everyone you've tasted, then it's probably the plastic the company uses....

when you look on the bottom of the bottle, there's a number surrounded by a recycle symbol.....

if the number's like a 6 or 7, then that means they used a lot of chemicals to make the plastic, so chemicals might go into the water...
