My husband and I got married August of last year and our one year anniversary is coming up. Well I still have the top of my cake in the freezer [tightly secured, dont worry] My mom made me keep it. Has anyone ever actually eaten it on the anniversary? Is it safe??

  1. We meant to, but next thing you know, it was 7 years later, the freezer died, had raw meat blood all over everything including the cake.  Right about that time I threw him and the cake out.  Weird timing, huh?

  2. Yes, my mother made my wedding cake.  When she prepared it for freezing, she wrapped it up tight.  The cake was okay, no flavor though.

  3. The top tier of my cake was used 3 years later at the christening, and it was fine.

  4. My brother did it, it was safe but nasty so I when I got married I passed on that tradition.

  5. My husband and I ate the top layer of our wedding cake on our one year anniversary. We wrapped it up tight to make sure no air would get in. The flavor was not as good, but it was a fun reminder of how wonderful our wedding day was.

  6. I havent done it before but I think its pretty safe

  7. I think it's fine
