Has anyone ever attended any of the Swift or CR England etc.. trucking schools?

do these schools garantee you a job or is this another way for them to get money out of you?

Swift transportation does guarantee you a job after you graduate from their academy.  It is actually a very good program, and they will pay for your schooling 100%, or even reimburse you if you attend another truck driving school.  Also, you only have to pay $150 as a seating fee to attend, and swift will provide you with a hotel to stay in while your in their school.  alot of drivers really like the school, and they enjoy working for swift, even though it gets alot of bad press.

CR England is another good company to drive for, they have a similar set-up like Swift does, but have some more strict requirements.  They also have different "phases" during your paid training, but I think Swift's driving academy has a better set-up.  

One other difference.  Swift has a no-interest loan for school.  CR England has an 18% interest tacked on theirs. ouch!
