Okay, I'm thirteen years old, and I'm about to audition for my very first student film. It's at Watkins Art Institute of Nashville. Does anybody know what they do at these auditions? I've done cold reads before, I have a monologue ready (just in case), and I've auditioned in front of people before, but can anyone give me any specifics? I've been acting for eight years so I know the process, I'm just looking for some details.....

P.S. It's for student films, so like student directors, at a University. (Watkins) I figured this was useful information that I should re-state.

Thanks!

  1. I've done one before (but not there). Really it's just like normal auditions, but a bit smaller scale. Normally you just do a cold read and they will most likely film it. And, depending on what it's about, they might have you do something extra. So be prepared for maybe some improv or a wierd excercise. My advice is to be prepared, be comfortable, and be as pleasant and as easy to work with as possible! They are usually very nice, and it's a lot of fun. Also a great way to get experiance!
