  1. Dude guys chill, she asked a simple question what's with the hostility, LOL? I know he lost to Fed in Hamburg last year, and this year he lost to Juan Carlos Ferrero, I can't remember the tournament name. His total clay court record is 148-14, the Fed and Ferrero losses are the most recent, I don't know about the other 12 losses, but these others are from his early career.

  2. .. unfortunately yes.. since he has that dominance.. last year hamburg masters it was federer in the final with a 2:6, 6:2 and 6:0 win (=> which was quite impressive) and this year in rome second round by ferrero with 7:5, 6:2 i guess, but this was because rafa had blisters at his food and couldn't move as he wanted..!

  3. Federer '07 Hamburg and then Ferrero Rome '08. Rafa was only 100% against Federer so there was only one legitimate loss on clay to Roger.

Aleksey so what is your point.

Roger has a career win % of 86.4% on grass, 82.4% on hardcourts, 75.0% on clay,  74.4% on carpet, Overall - 80.4%

Nadal has a career win % of 90.2% on clay, 73.1% on grass, 72.8% on hardcourts, 50% on carpet, and 79.8% Overall.

So all we can conclude is that Rafa is better on clay than Roger is on grass but there is no one better on either surface than Rafa on clay and Roger on grass. Roger is better on clay than Rafa is on grass but being around 75 or 73 is still good for your worse surface. Roger is better on hardcourts & carpet. Overall Roger is better but they are both around 80%

  4. Let's celebrate all Nadals fantastic wins.

    I don't hear anyone mention Djokeo's loses.

BTW how many loses has djokeo had in the past 3 years

while Federer and Nadal have been getting on with the business of being

No.1 and No.2 or is that an unfair question?

  5. yea, he has, by federer and others

  6. Nadal beaten by Roger Federer. Also Ferrer beaten him.  Roger will do this again.

  7. Latest loss was to Ferrero.

Since you asked to question to belittle Nadal though, I just wanted to point out that he's won 91.4% of his clay-court matches, while Federer has won only 86.4% of his grass-court matches.

Simple, Nina, to quote one of your earlier answers: "I just hope Roger is the one to beat him again on clay."  So what was the point of asking this question?

  8. lol Nina is this a trick question from you ? Im pretty sure you`ll no your beloved Federer beat Nadal last year in Hamburg to end his winning streak on the dirt surface :( ! Also Ferrero, but that was only because Rafa had huge blisters on his foot he was limited to running, i could put my money on it Ferrero would never beat Nadal on clay again. Carlos Moya way back when Rafa just joined the tour when he was just a young`en *tear* haha also beat him on clay. But all these defeats happened when Rafa was very young and finding his feet on the clay :) part from Ferrero one.

  9. JUAN CARLOS FERRERO IN ROME...

    FEDERER IN HAMBURG.........

  10. sure by federrer..

  11. this year- lost to ferrero in the 2nd Round because of a blister...

last year- lost to Roger in the Hamburg Final

    2006-2005 - none...

  12. yeah he lost to federed last year at hamburg.

that was the last time i am pretty sure that he lost on clay

  13. Lost to Federer in Hamburg last year, and Ferrero earlier this year.

Nadal also lost a bunch of times on clay when he first started the tour, but that was over 3 years ago.

  14. certainly to federer at least once,Hamburg 2007. and to J.C. Ferrero just recently in Rome 2008. I know he has lost to Moya and Ferrer at some point but I don't know if it was on clay or on some other surface but, if it was clay, it was a long time ago - before his amazing winning streak!

  15. he has been beaten many times on clay wen he started playing on the tour...

    I'll tell u 3 recent ones...

In 2004, valencia, Igor Andreev beat him...b4 that amazing run of 81-consecutive wins on clay started..

IN 2007, Hamburg Masters Finals..Roger Federer beat him 26 62 60...thus ending his magical 81-match streak on clay...

in Rome Masters 2008, Nadal received a bye into r2..he was defending that title..but lost in his first match in r2 against Juan Carlos Ferrero...75 62..but that was simply coz he had huge blisters on his right foot...so he was unable to move...

  16. yeah he just lost to ferrero and lost to federer last year in hamburg finals

  17. i believe the only people are federer and ferrero

    OR

those two beat him on clay but during his streak or something idk
