  1. Yes.  And in my case, this was why:

When men are in competition against a woman in a male dominated environment, they will go for that "strong" or "attitude" label quick as s***.  Since the woman is a very strong worker and exhibiting many skill sets that the man does not, he will reach for anything to try to bring her down a notch because she's flying above him.  When I was accused of being too strong, I asked my Manager(a man) what he thought.  He laughed his a** off, and told me to keep on doin' what I'm doin' because the other guy is a fool anyway, and he's just jealous.  No joke, strength is an asset.

  2. Plenty of Dictators have been criticized so throughout history.

Julius Caesar, for example...was killed for it.

  3. Yes but they're wrong.

  4. no

  5. I don't think so, but Atlas was punished for it.

  6. yes but like the poster above me quoted, there's really nothing wrong with that. It's only wrong when that person refuses to reciprocate. That's when you get rhetorical statements hurled about as though it is worthwhile knowledge

  7. In the classic samurai film "Duel At Ichijoji Temple" a Buddhist priest levels that criticism at Musashi Miyamoto (Toshiro Mifune).  The implication is that the legendary swordsman developed his martial arts skills at the expense of more civilized & humane feelings.

  8. No.  Even when I disagree with someone I still respect their ideas.

"I may not agree with what you say but I will fight to the death for your right to speak it."-Voltaire

    Something like that.

  9. It depends. You can be strong in a number of ways. You can be physically strong where you can lift heavy objects or have increased muscular endurance that far exceeds that of most women and some men. Or you can be too head strong, either stuck in your beliefs, or every educated.

Most people who accuse someone of being "too strong" is someone who's either intimidated by those they can not control, or they fear those who they view as being either smarter or stronger then themselves. Which at times does lead to people labeling other men and women as being "too strong". Now I've been told that I am strong both mentally and physically, but I've never been told that I'm "too strong". But I was only told that by people who knew better than to cross me.
