  1. Yes, I have been on several Carnival Cruises, and yes there is entertainment for teenagers.   There is even a disco on the ship that is devoted to teenagers.

The ship will have a program of activities specifically for teens - teens should go at the beginning of the cruise, because that way they get to meet others on the ship.  However, depending on the teens that stay involved and the crew members involved, that teen group might be incredibly fun, or might be totally boring.  If the latter, having gone to the first event or two, the teen will have connected with some folks his./her own age to hang out with the rest of the time.

There are also regular ship activities and shore activities that are great for teens - like the games, and Karaoke, and the pools and hot tubs.

You're so lucky, you are going to have a great time.

  2. Carnival has lots of fun in store for teens. the waterslide/pools, teen dance club, activities just for teens.

  4. Yes, Carnival has a very good teen program.  All Carnival ships have a water slide.  This is very popular with teens.

Is there a teen program onboard?

Carnival offers two different teen programs. For our 12-14 year old guests, Camp Carnival offers a wide range of activities from late night movies, sports night, teen disco, Karaoke, late night swimming under the stars, scavenger hunts, and many other age appropriate activities.

15 - 17 year olds have a place all their own as well, it's called Club 0 2. This program, like Camp Carnival, was created for these older teens it was designed and dedicated to our guests in the specific age groups. The older teens get a chance to show off during a Karaoke session, pool parties, late night dances, outdoor sporting events like basketball and ping pong.

Many of our ships feature lounges which are dedicated to both age groups.  Some of these lounges feature video monitors with Playstation 2 or X-Boxes, as well as comfortable seating. High energy dance floors with state of the art lighting and sound have also become a mainstay in many of our "Teen Only" lounges.

Due to these programs onboard, it is Carnival's policy to restrict anyone under the age of 18 years old into the main disco after 11 PM. Casino guests must be 18 years of age to play the tables and the slot machines. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in the casino. Guests under the age of 16 are not permitted in the spa and gym. Guests between the ages of 16 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

and for the younger teens ...

Welcome to Circle “C” where 12-14’s can cruise, chill, connect. It’s a program that keeps on growing. There are games, parties, and other supervised activities that are created just for them. When they rave about all the fun they’re having, you’ll know they’ve discovered Circle “C”.

  5. Yes, Carnival is a great cruise line for teens.  My daughters love the 24 hour pizzeria and ice cream.

Also, I highly recommend taking a set of the 2-way radios to use while on board with teens.

That way, the teens can have freedom to enjoy the cruise while the parents have piece of mind.

It also cuts out the check-ins and searching for people, which is a drag.

If the teens are girls, be sure to take along an extra power strip. There is only one power outlet in the room and there are always too many curling and flat irons that need to be plugged in!
