Has anyone ever been in the royals castle? and if so, what does it look like?

I've been in Windsor Castle. It looked very nice. Its not as flashy as somewhere like Versailles in France. Some lovely pieces of furniture. A few too many ornaments and wall hangings for my liking... but that's personal taste.

There are many castles in England but they don't all belong to the Queen for example Arundel Castle which belongs to the Duke of Norfolk. And there are lots of other places that the Queen owns that are not castles such as Sandringham House, Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, St James' Palace

I've been in Windsor Castle but Clarence House where the Prince of Wales lives feels like more of a home. If you're in London in the summer and interested in royalty, I can recommend a visit.

Windsor Castle, which is about 30 minutes from London, looks like something out of a fairy tale. It is just utterly magnificent as it sits about the little town of Windsor atop a big hill. The grounds are extensive and the rooms and decoration is really breathtaking. It is hard to image as you go from room to room that history was made there. That King George VI, Roosevelt, Churchill and other political leaders contemplated WWII strategies in one of the sitting rooms is just amazing.

I've been to Japan and there are lots of royal castles there packed with century's of imperial history. The interior of Edo castle is very ancient and historic. There's also matsumoto and Osaka castle located in nagano which is also very historic among many others.
