Has anyone ever been on a world cruise for their honeymoon?

We didn't get to go on a honeymoon (because we had his ungrateful mother and sister spend the week).

Were thinking about going on a world cruise to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Has anyone ever been on a world cruise? What was your experience? Did you have fun? Are they boring?

my sister worked on the QE2 there is mostly old people.its not like a Caribbean cruse.they did napkin folding for fun lol

oh how lovely that would be. if you have the time and resources to do it I say go for it! I can't think of a more lovely way to say I love you then to spend that much time together. cruises offer tons to do on the boat and an opportunity to get off and do shore excursions at every stop! and if you don't have the time to do the whole thing most world cruises will let you buy them by the installment so you only have to use the part you want to see the most and won't have to pay for the rest! I personally don't have the time or resources to do that just yet but it is so on my list of things to do before I die! (my parent's didn't get their honeymoon until their 20th anniversary so you are at least ahead of their game) and as for your in-laws...I would have left them :-) but good for you for being such an accommodating hostess!!!

I was...but, it was sponsored by the Army and lasted 11 years.

Seriously, a couple from church did this, but after they retired, it took them most of one year and several years to plan it.  You have to consider climate, ship schedules, some legs of the journey can't be done in a ship, etc...

They loved it, but wouldn't like to be away from home that long again.
