Or, if not, what scientific foundation do cryogenic companies function on? I mean, what evidence is there that it works/will work?

  1. No, no one has been uncryogenically frozen. Cryogenesis releis on the foundation that freezing the body freezes all the cells and so puts all the cells into dormancy. When the body is unfrozen, the cells begin to work again and so your body becoems alive again. Cryogenesis is not yet advanced to the point where we can freeze humans for susbstantial periods of time and then bring them back alive.

  2. They have frozen body parts, and brought them back successfully. But not whole humans. And despite what rumors were spread years ago, Walt Disney was NOT frozen for later bringing back to life. He is dead and buried like anyone else.

  3. lots of people have been frozen, either cryogenically or otherwise, and a few have been revived after a few minutes, but years? No one has ever been revived after years.

"scientific foundation do cryogenic companies function on"? people's hopes and fears.

  4. Many, many people have been frozen. Thousands throughout the ages have succumbed to the elements. Notably were those during the gold rush to Alaska and Canada.
