  1. I have been to Aruba twice; once by cruise ship and then another time I stayed a five days.  Aruba has great beaches but there is not a lot to do there other than beach stuff like swim, snokel, jet ski, para-sail, kite-board, etc.  You can tour the island in about half a day and there are not really any attractions that are MUST SEE.  The one attraction that was there, a natural bridge by the ocean that the ocean waters came under onto a small beach fell a few years ago.  When we did the island tour we stopped at a lighthouse, then went to a very small cave, stopped at the natural bridge (that is not there any longer), drove past a national park area that looked very much like the desert southwest of the US, and then had a stop at Baby Beach (famous for having very shallow water).

Aruba is very arid and is not green like many islands in the Caribbean.  Its also very windy there all of the time with the wind blowing about 15 to 20 mph all of the time.  That's good because it keeps the humidity off you and keeps you cool.  Its also great if you like to kite-board or wind surf; lots of people do that in Aruba.

Some of the hotels in Aruba have a casino; small but functional if someone wants to gamble.  Food is rather expensive but there are a variety of restaurants.  Transportation is pretty easy and you can take the bus from beach hotels into the town or Oranjestad.  There is some shopping but not a lot and there are several craft market stands on main street in town, but not a huge market area.

The hotels are great.  We stayed at the Marriott at the very end of the hotel strip on Palm Beach.  This hotel was great and I do recommend it.

  2. I just got back. I don't know how old you are so activities will vary. Scuba diving totally awesome JADS Dive Center Baby Beach. Snorkeling you can do a cruise go with RED SAIL. If you want to snorkel from the beach go to BABY BEACH. It is protected from the waves and is a beautiful area. Your can do JEEP TOURS. They are expensive and not all that great. The BUTTERFLY FARM was really nice. Go at about 4:30 to see the most butterflies. Dinner cruise with RED SAIL. If you are afraid of water the Atlantis submarine is awesome and take you to the Antilla, a ship that was sunk during the second world war. Totally awesome! Have fun don't talk to guys late at night on the beach. They try to sell you drugs P.S. Have lots of fun sunbathing with the IGUANAS.

  5. I've been many places and this was by far one of my favorite. The beaches are beautiful and there is a ton to do both during the day and at night. The restaurants are great! If you need any suggestions I have tons!

We did deep sea fishing, snorkeling, Tattoo cruize (party cruise) and shopping. There is a great night life and tons of tours (jeep I heard was a lot of fun)

I stayed at the Radisson and loved it. It was beautiful with a nice beach and great pools. Great location too!

Hope this helps! Have fun if you go!
