Has anyone ever been to Grand Pineapple Resort in Negril, Jamaica?

My fiance' and I are planning on going to Jamaica in late April next year and we were looking into the Sandals/Beaches thing when I saw an ad for Grand Pineapple. It is apparently owned by Sandals. It is advertised as a less expensive version; i.e. fewer restaurants, smaller rooms. I am normally not cheap when it comes to vacations but we are talking about the difference between $3000 and $1600. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the place, since it seems fairly new. Oh and no, we are not going there to get married, so don't consider that part. Thanks!

If you haen't already, go to tripadvisor.com.  There you'll be able to read reviews from guests that have been there.  You'll love Negril!
