Has anyone ever been to New Zealand?

My fiance wants to go to New Zealand for our honey moon, and thats fine by me... But I dont know whats there. I've seen pictures and it's really pretty but whats to do on your honey moon there?

Depending on the time of year there are many things to do and see on your honeymoon.

On the South Island, take a sailing tour of Milford Sound and the many fiords that exist there.  Hiking the national parks.  There are no snakes in NZ and nothing that can really hurt you.  In their winter there is wonderful skiing in the Southern Alps and the mountain range is spectacular any time of year.  There are underground caves that offer a boat ride among thousands of glow worms that make the cave ceilings look like a starry night sky.   Christchurch has been called the most British city outside London.    If you are of a daring personality there is always the bungie jumping over the Shot Over  gourge where bungie jumping originated.   A little less adventuress, the Shot Over jet boat trips are like riding a fast roller coaster.

On the North Island the geothermal areas also are quite spectacular with geysers and hot spring pools everywhere.  Mauri Culture centers offer a significant look into a warrior culture of the pacific island and are extremely interesting.  If you are interested in art decci, fly to Hawkes Bay and check out the down town area, the architecture is stunning.

I would suggest going to a book store or public library and looking through some of the tourist books on NZ.  It is one of the few places that you can watch the sun rise over the ocean and zip across the island and see it set over the ocean.

A big plus for travelers is the financial exchange rate while not as good as it was a few years ago, it is still a bargain.  I would recomend a honeymoon in NZ to anyone.
