  1. I traveled the southern half of Spain for 10 days back in April of 2004.  The people I encountered were all very friendly and most spoke English.  Weather was fantastic!  Travel by bus was rather easy, and in general the cities I visited were very clean.  You should definitely go!

  2. Hi there

Spain is a very beautiful country. and people are very friendly, they don't mind to get out of their way to help. The palce your going is highly touristic, but very pretty. I hope you do enjoy there.

Happy travels & Good luck to you.

PS: Let us know when you return how you did like it there :)

  3. I was there in the mid to early 60's.. it's a diffrent place now.  back then there were dirt roads.. donkeys hauling carts.. candybars cost a penny.  The people were fantastic.. the climate was fantastic.. the only hard thing was the language.  Went to a few castles too.

the last time i looked on google earth the place i used to live is now all paved..and all the open country is now houses.

not sure what' it's like today. .. i did go to mallorca in the 90's tho.. but that was more a tourist paradise.

wish i could get back to spain.

  4. Have visited Spain a number of times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  The Spanish are very friendly, the culture is interesting, the countryside very beautiful, and the food is great, if you don't mind that dinner isn't usually served until around 10 PM!

Watch out for pickpockets and petty criminals.  A favorite scam is that someone will "spill" something on your clothing and, while he or she is helping you to clean it off, someome else will clean you out.  DO NOT carry your passport -- carry a photo copy and leave your passport in safekeeping at your hotel.

  5. Yes. Me and my family took a trip to spain 2 years ago when I was 12. It was really fun and a great trip however. 1 thing you NEED to KNOW: If ur not taking a direct flight to spain, as in if you do what we  which is change flights in London than you need to stay overnight. There is nothing that has made me more tired than 2,6 hour flights one after the other. Another thing: Nothing happened to me, however there were signs outside on the streets that said "Beware of the woman selling flowers" and things like that. That is actually an example of what one said. It's becasue there are people who are poor and will try to rob you, so dont carry a purse around and be careful with ur money. We were fine though, so you probably will be too, (if u go)

It was a very fun trip though and had some cool culture so I'd def go back. We went to Malaga by the way.

  6. Yes it was very cultural there.  it was an awesome experience.  i know  spanish so it wasn't that hard for me to understand what people are saying.  the sites there are unbelievable.  if your going i hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

  7. i've never been to heaven, i've never been to spain...

  8. I moved here two years ago. I love the place.
