Ive been to a new years festival in Granada which was fantastic.New Years eve is a very special occasion in Spain with big elaborate feasts.Don't forget to eat 12 grapes as the bell chimes midnight, it will bring you luck.Ayamonte is a very nice , semi fishing town ,not spoiled by tourism .Go ,and have fun.
