  1. Hola.  Actually in the past week the weather has taken a turn.  This usually happens in November.  It goes from being extremely hot and humid, to more cooler at night and in the morning.  All the locals start wearing their touques and jackets and sweaters!  The tourists still walk around in shorts, thongs and tshirts.

January and February are known as the most coolest times of the year in Cabo.  You might want to bring a sweater or light jacket and jeans.

As far as swimming, the ocean right now is still incredibly warm.  I was just swimming a couple days ago at Chileno.   Depending on who you talk to, some feel it gets really cold in January, where others feel it is tolerable.  Most go in anyways!  to swim, snorkel, surf, scuba etc.  I've never thought it was too cold to swim, but I'm used to it.

  2. No.  The weather is quite warm year round.  You would be going at a good time.

To swim, you would need to swim on the beaches of the Sea of Cortez.  Swimming is not recommended or permitted on the Pacifice side.  Too much turbelance and under tides.  The water is not safe.

While in Cabo, make sure you visit Cabo Wabo, Gigglin Marlin, Squid Row to name a few for dancing, music, crowds, and craziness.  On the beach, visit the office.  Great food and drinks.

Also, make sure to charter a boat out to sea and go fishing.  If you split it with another group it comes out cheaper.  It's a must do excursion.

    Be safe, and have fun.

    Laura :)
