Has anyone ever been to dubai?

is it safe, like its not a scary place right? i heard its reallllly beautiful..how are the people and the beaches and stufff?

I am living in Abu Dhabi - 150 kms from Dubai. Its just another heaven and you will have a very great time over here. We are really enjoying our life and its too good a place for tourists too. Cool. One thing that scares us the TRAFFIC in Dubai. It is the same problem most of the major cities in the world face.

About Dubai, beaches and hotels are just fine and great. World's most expensive hotels are here. Have you heard of sking (SNOW) in desert??? you can see that here. Also buying is fun in Dubai. No taxes and so, things are cheaper than US. I will say a very comfortable place to stay and visit. Tons of fun around.

yes. ITS A WONDERFULLLLL place. i loved it there. i want to go back. the ppl r nice and the beaches r beautiful too.

I have..it's safe. A lot of foreign people visit. I was born there..it's real beautiful. Most people can speak English fluently. The beaches are great, and everything is in abundance. Except good malls. There's some awesome souvenir shops if you're into that kind of stuff.

I have been to Dubai airport where there is great duty free shopping to be done :) Also when i flew in i noticed that there are huge mansions, it is a very well off country.

Dubai was one of my many port calls in the US Navy. Yes it is very beautiful and as long as you acclimate yourself to the customs they are nice however if you do something they are not used to or they are against you will not be welcome.

its like the safest place in that part of the world, its supposed to be really nice, they have like an inside ski hill!

i've been to dubai.. but it was like 6 years ago when i was in gr.3 =)

it was really beautiful, safe, and there is a lot to see. go for safari with Toyota jeep, go to the beaches but they are quite warm, no rocks and no fishes in the see.

the tempreture was 43 C when i went there. so yea it was super hot, so try to wear light clothes. very light ones..
