I just know Natchez, Mississippi is a big tourist historical place and Vidalia, Louisiana is a nice little city across the bridge. Natchez has a few good eating places too. Like Kings Tavern. The oldest build in Natchez [built sometime in the 1700s] It's haunted also. I go to school in Vidalia and see Natchez and go there almost everyday. I was just wondering if its a well known place. Appreciate your answers! :]

  1. I would say yes, pretty well known. The current issue of Smithsonian magazine (May 2008) has an interesting feature article on the Natchez Trace. After reading it last night-I would like to visit Natchez. The online version is good, but if you can get a copy of the magazine, there are a lot more pictures-probably of places you see everyday.

  2. Well, of course, but that's because both sides of my family are from all over Louisiana.

  3. Yes, to both; I've BEEN to both.

Natchez is very well-known, particularly in the south (I'm originally from Texas).  Vidalia isn't as well-known in the rest of the country.

  4. I've heard of both (probably because I live in Natchitoches, Louisiana) -betcha never heard of that one, huh??-

  5. I've been to Natchez, Mississippi. Very pretty town!
