Has anyone ever been to the Chattooga river?

im thinking about going white water rafting there but i wanna know if anyone has first.

Yes! The Chattooga is a dangerous river to have to swim in. Inquire at the Nantahala Outdoor Center for more information. This is a beautiful piece of rafting/boating river.

Yep and kayaked it too.  It's best to catch it in the early spring when it's full.  It's rain dependent and more fun with water. The SE is in a drought right now and not much is flowing around here except dam released rivers.  I just checked American Whitewater and the level is low.  Section III is the less difficult part and Section IV is the more difficult part with big drops on it.  I think you'll get to run Bull Sluice with both parts.  It's an absolutely gorgeous trip as there is no road beside it and it's classified as wild and scenic.  If you're looking for something really fun until it rains, try the Middle Ocoee in Eastern Tennessee.  Be safe and have a great time!
