Has anyone ever been to the mickey's trick or treat in disneyland can you buy food there and gifts?

I am going to California Adventure fore the Mickey's trick or treat are the stores open and are any rides open is it only california adventure or disneyland too. I am going this year I want to know if it is fun and do you get enough candy do you go to both parks to trick or treat or just one.

This is a Hard Ticket(that is a regular ticket is not valid) event.  It is ONLY in California Adventure.  You will only be allowed to wear a costume inside of CA Adventure during the event hours.  If you happen to go to either park during the day you will not be allowed in with a Costume.  They will have most Stores, Rides and some food locations open.  In the past they have had very limited event merchandise for sale, but with the popularity of this event they may add some more this year.  The event is short however and I would suggest that you eat dinner either before or after the event.  You will get enough candy to last you quite a while.  Most stations last year had a selection of Candy or Sliced Apples and the apples were a nice change from strictly candy.  But I think everyone else felt the same way because as the evening wore on there were very few places with Apples left.

They seem to add additional entertainment each year and you may find yourself not ending up on a lot of rides, although except for Tower of Terror most rides that are open will be close to a walk-on.
