  1. Yes I have, it was at the Cahabon river, the company is called "maya expedition" the prices were something like $90 for the day including lunch, equipment, etc. the expereience is really worth it !!!!! As a matter of fact we took the tour a couple of more times... the rapids are clas III to V, awesome experience.

Hey Tix, I did the rafting thing in both rainy and dry season in the same river, its was more fun in the rainy season !!!! Believe me !!!

  2. not in guatemala....but in Costa Rica ansd it was D'Bomb!!! That means....awesome!!!!

We went down the Revantazon and took the expert route even though it was my first time....quite scary but made it through!!!

I have been wanting to go to Guatemala too.

  3. I haven't, but I have heard about it! Seems fun! I will be living right by a river there (in a few weeks!) that would probably be good to do that in, but not right now during rainy season when the waters are very dangerous! Be careful!!!!!

  4. It is awesome.  Definitely go during rainy season.  Cajabon was great. Mayan Expeditions was also great.  My guide was Mario.  I would ask for him again.  As a former raft guide myself I consider it safe and a good trip.  If you can go to that region early try to see one of the caves. It is a great side trip.
