but I just bought a used car (no loan, fully paid). It is a luxury car, so it wasn't cheap, either! But within a few days, after incorporating it into my daily life, I feel that this is not the car for me! It is hard to park, and a few other things that are hard to realize on a test drive. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? People keep saying to me "Didn't you like it when you test drove it?" or other questions. Yes, I liked it, it is a beautiful car. But.....isn't it hard to know everything until you actually start to "USE" the car in your own life? You can let me have it if I'm crazy!!!! Also, when it comes to used cars, it's kind of like "you snooze, you lose", so I had to make a rather hasty decision. I know I can sell the car. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. So who cares what other people think? Sell the thing and get something else you do like.

  2. I agree. Sometimes you don't really get to know the car until you actually have it sitting in your garage. Especially with your personal Stuff around you like CDs, Sunglasses etc.

I once had a Accent that I really liked. But after I drove it home discovered that the Cup Holders were built into the Dash bellow the Radio. So if you had a glass or soda bottle in there, you can't reach the Radio Controls or AC Controls.

Well the point is, you can either go get aftermarket accessories that will help you make comfortable. Say you don't like Seat color, you can get fancy Seat Covers. In your case it's hard to park. Then you can get a RearView Camera that's mounted on the rear License Plate or Trunk Cover. Those aren't really whole lot expensive.

You just have to get used to it. Especially you are transitioning from another car, its hard. But doable.

    Good Luck!

  3. Of course the dealer won't take it back. Car sales are final. Trade it in or sell it and buy what you really want.

  4. If you read the question here, you can see that few times a day, people ask "I just bought a car (yesterday) and I hate it, how can I return it".

    so you ain't alone

    good Luck...

  5. THAT  is  why  they  have  the  Lemon  law,  but  most  dealers  will negotiate  with you  for  another  vehicle.  To  check  law  put in  the  state name  and  then lemon law on  search.

  6. That is why I never buy a car unless a friend or family member has it and they have let me taken it for a fun fun fun drive! LOL

I just can not buy a car without knowing it to some extent. It takes more than just a test drive unfortunately.

And you are not crazy! Just try to find a friend with a similar car at least (same brand) so you can kind of get used to what expect.

    Good Luck!

  7. Buyer's Remorse....a well know syndrome.

    Kind of like post-coital depression.

  8. It's called Buyers Remorse, and it is quite common.

Drive it for a month and if you still feel the same, then sell it if you still don't think it is right for you.

You might end up loving it again once you experience the reasons why you bought it, again or if you get a lot of compliments on it.

  9. UGH... folks, quit spouting the "Lemon Law" as an answer! It WOULD NOT apply here.

Anyway, yes, I've had that happen once. I purchased an '06 Accord. Very solid, dependable, fuel-efficient, but... it was a manual tranny. After a few weeks in stop-and-go traffic, I got tired of it. I'm on the phone for business often (yes, I pull over to take/make calls), and the manual gets old.

Hang in there, though. You can always sell it.
