Has anyone ever done international adoption from India?

I am interested in international adoption specifically from India. I am interested in prices and detailed information.

Be very aware that there have been a heap of dogdy adoptions happening over in India. This article was in the Australian newspapers today -

Where there is money to be made - people will do whatever to make a buck. It's tragic that children have become such a money making industry.

If you decide to adopt from overseas - make absolutely certain that the adoption is ethical - and that the child has not been stolen.

Make sure the adoption agency that you go through - runs strictly to the guidelines set by the Hague Convention on children's rights and international adoption.

I have but the correct answer to your question will depend upon what country you are in now.  Procedures and their associated costs differ by country. My experience was with the Canadian system although we lived in India at the time we did ours.
