If so could you describe it in some detail please, cause I've been offered to do it at a rate of £6.50 an hour and I would have a training day. I'm 16, is the pay bad?

  1. YOU ARE VERY FORTUNATE AS WITH SILVER SERVICE FOR YOUR AGE THAT IS A GOOD RATE OF PAY FOR A 16 YEAR OLD

LOOK ON IT THIS WAY YOU CAN BE IN A BETTER POSITION WHEN YOU PASS YOUR TRAINING .MY PARTNER DONE THE SAME THING AND WORKED AT TOP HOTELS AND FROM THERE OPPORTUNITIES AROSE WERE SHE WENT INTO A BETTER CAREER

  2. ok, you are going to need more that a day to master this!! It is when you put empty plates down in front of your customer, you then return with a 'flat' of food chicken or what ever and transfer from your flat to thier plate with the plate using only a spoon and fork ,on the table in front of them, it is an art form and quite tricky to do, also you need to be fairly confident, you then go through the same procedure with veg and spuds, or you will work with a team where one does all the mains, one does veg and one spuds and one does sauce/gravy. I'd say the pay was average and you may get tips too, try you tube for a demo on silver service . good luck!!

  4. £6.50 an hour is a great rate for a 16 year old. Well above the minimum wage which does not apply to 16 year olds, you're probably be earning double what the average 16 year old would earn. Good luck, I hope you enjoy it and doo well.
