Has anyone ever done snail-racing before?

Im thinking of doing snail racing as a stall for a summer fete, has anyone ever done it before & how did it go? If not, then do you think its a good idea?

It's fun but you have to be very patient. I'm very playful and animals are the world to me (yes, even snails) so I encouraged my friend to do snail racing with me and gave them names (Scooter & Kyle) it took 15 minutes, mine was Scooter, and he won! It's fun to cheer for them as they go, I won becayse Kyle was still in his shell when the race began :D
