Has anyone ever driven to the South Pole?

Recently I saw a program "Top Gear" where they were the first to drive a car to the North Pole. Made me think why not do it to the South Pole. Anyone know if it has been done already?

my uncle (japanese astronaut) went to the South Pole last year, for some kind of expedition thingy. by plane, of course

Whatever Top Gear is, it's a lie. You cannot physically drive to the north pole. All the north pole is, is small islands of ice that you can't even get a car/truck/motorcycle, ect. on.

It is possible to drive to the South Pole I think. It is part of Antarctica, which is solid land.
