I used to be a student in Kingston 16 years ago and ate there often - as a real curryholic, I thought it was great. Thanks for the tip on the Magic Wok - will give it a try.

i have, and it was awful. best curry house in london is love india, chelsea. good prices, unbeleivable food and fantastic service.

I haven't but have eaten at Monty's in Ealing, I know they have a few in the chain, if it's the same then I wouldn't say amazing but always good food, service and value. The Nepalese vegetables are especially good.

Yes. Monty's was first rate when I went. I love Nepalese food -in fact 'Monty' (probably not his real name) took the time to explain the difference between Nepalese curries and Bangladeshi curries. However, any restaurant is only as good as the chef, and of course, chefs do change, so nothing is forever.

Magic Wok I found to be pleasant enough but nothing special.
