Has anyone ever experienced this? Positive or Negative?

I took a pregnancy test last week and it was Positive. I then took several after that, and all came back Negative. I'm going for a blood test tomorrow just to confirm either way. So has anyone else gone through this before? Where you have 1 positive out of several negatives, then got your blood test back and you ARE pregnant? I'm hoping thats the case for me. Plus i've had no bleeding or any signs of a miscarriage whatsoever, and im still have pregnancy-like symptoms. Thanks :) Or would I even be worrying about this if I had only taken the one test that showed up positive? :P The positive test was a clear PREGNANT(digital). And do they normally have positive results back from the blood test after this?

  1. If the first test was first thing in the morning and the rest of the tests were later in the day or they were all different tests then you may just not yet be producing enough hcg to get a positive result on the rest of them. The only way to really know is to wait till you get the blood test.

  2. While it is quite common to produce a false negative, false positives are very rare. I would stop spending money on multiple pregnancy tests. Wait until your blood test results come back. If you are only a week or two pregnant then you may not have enough HCG for the test to pick up. When taking a pregnancy test you should always use the first morning's pee because that is when the hormone levels are the highest. Also if it is before your missed period or shortly there after then you should try a test that is designed for early detection. First Response actually uses a different hormone that can be detected earlier. No matter what the at home test says, if you are experiencing symptoms and you are unsure a blood test is the best way to go so try to relax and stop worrying, the results of the blood test are accurate and you will have them soon enough. Good luck!

  3. It's possible that you experienced a chemical pregnancy. Sometimes, testing too early can come back to bite you, unfortunately.

    Good luck
