Has anyone ever filed a grade appeal before and won?

Recently, I have.

But I had fifteen other students backing me, wanting their grades rechecked also.

He had lectured from the book and we had studied, but the entire class failed because his test was nonsense. Had nothing to do with the material covered. And with the tests to prove it, and other people behind me, we managed to get it fixed.

I've been a college/university administrator for many years and know of only a very few successful grade appeals.  However, if you really have a "good case", with hard evidence to back it up, you might want to try an appeal.

I did. Last semester my Psychology professor gave me a C. I knew that even with my excessive absences, there was no way possible I had earned a C. She insisted that it was not because of absences and that was my grade. I had it appealed and it turned out she forgot to add my final exam and extra credit (duh). Turns out my grade was actually an A.
