Has anyone ever fished for barracuda with just a handline?

we are going to isla mujeres mexico in jan. to fish there hotel vistalmar handline barracuda bash,just wanted to no if anyone ever fished like that?check them out.www.wax-n-wane.com

Its a black though a little frustrating. i caught a huge one. the adrenline rush is fantabulous

No, I certainly have not and I love to fish.  I'm not sure I would be fishing for barracuda with just a line, though.
