Has anyone ever flown within the US with an acctive warrant ?

My sister needs to fly into Houston and clear up her felony warrant for unlawful use of a motor vehicle . She is afraid that she won't get past security . Anyone with experience in this matter ? Please help !

  1. She wont be able to fly, she would be arrested instantly she must turn herself in and either fix it up in her present location or the the police escort her to houston

I did a lot of searching on line and no one seems to have a solid answer to this question.  I would guess that it has to do with what kind of warrant.  The felony warrant crosses state lines.  A misdemeanor warrant would probably only come up in the state that it was issued.  I certainly would not take a chance on this one though.  With the new security measures in place I know that they screen all passengers for warning signs.  i would assume that they consider a warrant a major warning sign.  If they don't arrest you they certainly won't let you fly.  Stay away from the airport or get some professional ID.

    If your sister looks enough like you, you might try letting her use your ID.  They don't print you or anything. and all they want is a picture ID. You should have enough of a family resemblance to pull it off as long as you are the same s*x.
