  1. First off for Eric W...

You are as much (or more) responsible when YOU drive beside a "transfer" truck, so I suggest that you don't do it.

Get around the vehicle as quickly as possible.  IF traffic in front of you has the road blocked, then wait to move around.

There is absolutely no reason to drive scared, it will only make you a dangerous driver.

As for me, I have been a professional driver since 1995, and the only that scares me on the road is the commuters or students who drive and put on makeup, read, eat breakfast, and especially talk on the cell phone with it in their hand.

(Blue tooth will save a lot of lives, once it becomes the standard)

I have seen everything listed above. cell phone use is common, but everything else is simply an accident waiting to happen.  I have actually seen a man reading a newspaper going down the road, and another reading a hardback novel.

I have seen multiple times women applying makeup. and somebody eating off a plate while driving.

I have also seen several s*x acts going down the road.

(try explaining THAT to St. Peter when you get to the pearly gates after the accident!!!

Once, while I was resting, I woke up with a start, and saw the taillights of a truck parked in front of me, and I thought I was going to hit him, like I had fallen asleep at the wheel.

THAT incident scared the h**l out of me so much that I don't rest over the steering wheel anymore.

  2. I get scared when it's raining and I'm driving on the interstate.

  3. transfer trucks riding next to me on the highway...It just freaks me out.

  4. yeah while driving on the freeway in the rain...a mustang doesnt do too welll with that.

  5. i don't like driving in lightening storms...

  6. My wife does.

  7. just a little nervous at 155 mph

so I backed down to 149-150mph

  8. ..Sure, at night when it;s raining

  9. I dont drive.. lmao :)

  10. When I was six, my grandmother told me something on the highway.

"Texan Know-it-hall, hioney, you steer. I need to get out my phone."

I leaned across the arm rest and tried my best to steer the car. I swerved us all over the place, and almost caused two wrecks! My grandmother acted like nothing had happened, but I was hyperventilating and freaking out. I drive carefully, very carefully, now.

  11. yes, every time my daughters drive. once though I must say. I was almost hit by a truck load of boys acting up, while I had my middle daughter and her new born baby in the car with me.

  12. I almost crashed my car the first day I got my license.  That was pretty scary.

  13. Yeah, when I first got my car I had just gotten my license a few days earlier, and I had to drive it back from the dealership alone, on the highway and all. I was even too scared to put the music loud enough to hear it properly.
