I'm not sure whether they are, but.. whenever I brush through my hair, it stings slightly, I reckon it is spots. I have a few on the side of my face, near my hair, too! Anyone ever got this problem before and is it anything I should be concerned about? Thanks! :)

  1. infected hair follicles caused by grease or not washing the shampoo out properly. Even your hairbrush is to blame, because of the dirt it contains. always rinse your hair with running water evn if you fill the cups by the tap.

  2. nothing that stings.

  3. It sounds like you have sensitive skin, and if you are quite young then spots are quite normal even near your hair. It could be a reaction to a products you are using on your face or hair but its nothing to worry about. I would get a friend to have a look they might be poppable (seriously). Give it a few days at least to go down and then brush your hair as normal.

  4. Perhaps as you've brushed your hair it's pulled some out and it's actually an ingrowing hair? Could be possible. I've had the odd spot (or ingrown hair, who knows?) on my head before, I don't think it's too unusual

  5. No, but I've heard of it before.  You can get them if your not washing your shampoo and conditioner out properly.

  6. i have like at the side of my fore head but like under my hair aswell :S how strange i have no idea if its normal or not :(

  7. Nope

  8. well do u brush ur hair often??

it could be several reasons 1: ur scalp is irratated 2) allerigic to a shampoo 3)ur body oils are making the sweet bumps

  9. Well to put your worries to rest it is normal and you were born with them. the concern comes when they have developed into bumps then you should get them checked by a doctor because it is said that they could be cancerous. i myself have them and my doctor says it is healthy for hair to grow over them.....Sooo don';t stress over it .

  11. I would definitly get it checked out by a doctor if it does not go away in a few days.

Spots or bumps on the scalp may be caused by:

    * Infection of the hair shafts or the skin (such as impetigo).

    * An allergic skin reaction (contact dermatitis).

    * Viral infections, such as chickenpox and shingles.

    * A skin condition, such as acne.

If you are overly stressed, tired, or on new medication it might be a real skin condition, see a doctor or someone who would know.

i got rid of them by tying up my fringe.
