I visited D.C. over the summer and the first morning I was waiting for the train and there was a huge line I was walking into the train when the door closed on my right leg with my body haning out of the train. People inside the train including my brother tried really hard to pry the door open but couldn't budge it so I pulled as hard as I could and ripped my leg out just before the train took off. It also took my shoe.

  1. yeah...luckily the door doesn't really crush your foot, you still can get it out...and once i got my shoulder stuck between bus doors...that was worse...i couldnt get my shoulder out until the doors closed.

  2. no haaaaaaa but that was funny

  3. sure got,,,,,,

  4. not me.

  5. nope

  6. Happened to my gf.. Her leg broke in three places.

  7. My experiences are on the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subways.  I've had the door close on my chest, my backpack, and my shoulder (all separate occasions).

On all of these occasions, I escaped without so much as a bruise.  Usually when someone gets caught in the doors, they'll open back up, or if you wriggle and fight enough, you can wrench yourself free.

The doors don't close hard enough to warrant serious injury, at least in my experience.  But it certainly makes your adrenaline start pumping.

  8. It happened to me in Mexico, though the train stopped
