Has anyone ever gotten aids from bleeding on one another in fights?

  1. Getting HIV in this way is possible, but not probable.  Getting Hepatitis, however is very likely.

    Still, I'm not taking any chances and that's why few sanctioning bodies will allow someone with a blood borne disease to fight.


  2. Well snz's answer about bleeding on someone isn't true at all. HIV is in fact a bloodborne pathogen not and airborne pathogen however if you are bled on and have an open cut or sore yourself then you can absolutely be infected. HIV needs to enter the body/bloodstream directly. s*x, needles, blood in open sores or cuts etc.

    In regulated fighting you are tested and would not be allowed to fight if you have any bloodborne/airborne disease.

  3. What Tom P said, the HIV virus is very much transmited through bodily fluids.

  4. Once the HIV virus is airborne, the virus dies, so you cannot transfer HIV through bleeding on someone..
